TDF Church Planting Residency

Want to explore being part of a church planting team right from where you are? Keep scrolling to find out more.

Overview

This is a one-year residency starting in February and August each year, designed to equip and empower leaders to start churches. Though the residency will primarily focus on developing Lead Planters, we want to develop potential teams of leaders through this process as well. Our passion is to establish a family of disciple-making churches, launching four Gospel-centered congregations by 2024.

Application Process

This will include an online application, references, and follow-up meetings.

Selection Process

Your application and references must be submitted by December 1 to start in February or June 1 to start in August. The following weeks after those deadlines, TDF Leadership will meet to finalize the list of accepted residents.

You're invited to Rise Weekend, a 2-day prayer event at TDF coming up in 2022 where we will devote extended time in prayer and help you catch a vision for church planting and your involvement in it.

Residency Details

This residency is a commitment of 10-15 hours a week for one year, beginning in February or August for anyone post-high school. There is no salary involved. You can complete the residency from wherever you live, meaning you do not have to be in Nashville. All resources, training materials, and conference expenses will be covered by TDF.

The residency has five ministry tracks in addition to our general church planting training: (A) Lead Planter, (B) Worship, (C) First Impressions/Administration, (D) Kids Ministry, and (E) Outreach/Church Life.
